Founded in 1930, Van's Pig Stand is the oldest single family owned Bar-B-Q Restaurant in the state of Oklahoma. We are most famous for our Pig Sandwiches, Hickory Smoked Pork Ribs, Vanized Potatoes and our homemade deserts. Our Norman location opened in 1994. Since it has been voted best bar-b-q by the readers of the Norman Gazette. Come inside for some great food and friendly service. If you're in a hurry come though our drive by. When it is good, it is fantastic. They've a point system. Buy lots of food and you get a free meal after a time. Problem is, the free meal is usually not a full meal. It's like they're angry because you used the point system, so you get the worst meal of the week. It is very expensive and I have had to ask if it was fresh. But, like it says at the top, when done well, it is fantastic. Got a meal for someone dying of cancer with my free points last night; bad idea on my part. The carton was nearly empty; I was embarrassed to give it to the lady. If your point system makes you angry, please get rid of it as a perk for the exorbitant price we pay for the convenience of not cooking after working for hours. I work at the hospital across the way from Van's in Norman, guess what the conversation today was during lunch? Had the entire cafeteria discussing, Vans.

Van's Pig Stand serves outstanding BBQ. Just moved up here from Texas and Hands down better than Texas BBQ.!!!!

Some of the finest product for my church group tomorrow been a loyal customer for 15 years! Doesn't get any better then this ! All the way in Norton Shores Michigan .

I think it is priced well for the quality, quantity and customer service you receive.

Postmates will deliver from Vans for a nominal fee. It's cool.

And a short wait time at the drive through. Call ahead and it's instantaneous!

Rodney I wish we could always have the baked potato but we smoke them and it takes 2 hours. I'm sorry you have tried to get one at both locations and we were sold out. we do smoke several dozen at both locations( we cook them through out the day) and we sell out sometimes. We would cook more but have to balance cooking too much with having them left over at the end of the day. When we sell out around 7 we don't have time to get them done before we close. We strive to have the freshest food as possible.
